Within the framework of the International Day to Fight Breast Cancer, educational institutions of the state carried out various activities with the purpose of promoting awareness and prevention of this disease.
The Technological University of Camargo (UTCam) organized the conference called “Breast cancer, why me?”, Lectured by Dr. Manuel Castillo Soltero, director of Health in the municipality of Meoqui.
Similarly, Professor Socorro Barrón from the association “Fighting to live and serve”, shared her testimony in the fight against breast cancer, where she highlighted that the disease can be curable if it is detected in a timely manner.
In turn, the Technological University of Tarahumara (UTT) started a project that seeks to raise awareness about early detection and appropriate treatment to increase survival and reduce the negative effects of this type of cancer in women.
The awareness campaign on social networks involves teaching and administrative staff to make videos and images that guide the general population, as well as the women who make up the students’ families, to become aware of this disease.
The different campuses of the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Chihuahua (CECyTECH) carried out various activities and were “painted pink”, seeking the commitment of the entire society in the fight against this evil.
