Back on home ice – after a zero-point weekend, the Herford EV would like to show something countable again in the next two games in the Oberliga Nord.
However, the domestic runners have difficult tasks and you will have to improve significantly compared to the last game in Rostock (5: 7) if you want to survive in the Friday game at home against the Saale Bulls Halle and on Sunday at the Crocodiles Hamburg.
After a two-week break, the East Westphalian ice hockey fans can look forward to the next home game of the Ice Dragons. After the match against the Herner EV Miners was canceled at short notice in the previous week due to a defect in the ice machine, it is now back to the imos ice rink “Im Kleinen Felde” on Friday evening from 8.30 p.m. The guest is the current second in the table, Saale Bulls Halle, who is one of the expanded favorites. Although several top performers were injured, the Saale Bulls managed to win five out of seven games and they were not deterred by a 1-1 swat at the Hannover Scorpions. Most recently there was a 7: 2 against Rostock and a 4: 3 in Krefeld. But Herford has shown very good performances in the previous home games and so, with the loud fans behind them, they hope to be able to stand up to the favorites from Saxony-Anhalt.
On Sunday, the HEV will travel to the Crocodiles Hamburg. At 4 p.m., the team of head coach Michael Bielefeld in Eisland Farmsen meets an opponent who, after initial difficulties, now seems to have really started rolling. Most recently, the crocodiles got eight points from three games and set an exclamation point, especially with a 2-1 away win in Tilburg.
Herford still has to do without the ailing Dennis Schütt this weekend. “During the week some players suffered from a slight cold, but we hope that no one except Dennis will be out,” said Sports Director Sven Johannhardt, putting a question mark behind the exact line-up for the next two games.
Tickets for the home game against the Saale Bulls Halle are on sale at www.scantickets.de or available from Marktkauf Herford (info specialist store). A box office opens with admission at 7.30 p.m., provided that enough tickets are still available. Both games will also be live on www.sprade.tv transfer.
