The issue of the choice by the court of a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. His involvement in committing other crimes is being verified.
A former member of illegal armed groups of the so-called “LPR” was detained in the Luhansk region. He tried to get into the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities to apply for a pension. About this on Thursday, October 21, informs press service of the SBU.
It was established that the detainee participated in hostilities against the forces of the anti-terrorist operation. He joined the ranks of the separatists in March 2015. He served in the so-called “4th separate motorized rifle brigade of the LPR”, where he was engaged in servicing enemy military equipment.
Subsequently, the attacker left the group and hid in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
The detainee was informed about suspicion of participation in the activities of armed formations not provided for by law (part 2 of article 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of the choice by the court of a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved.
Information about the involvement of the attacker in the commission of other crimes is checked.
As previously reported, in the Luhansk region a probable accomplice of the separatists was detained.
