“The earlier it is found and treated, triple negative breast cancer patients have a survival rate of above 95% within 5 years,” he said at a health webinar initiated by the Indonesian Cancer Foundation and MDS, Thursday (21/10/2021).

Speaking of risk factors for triple negative breast cancer, according to Prof. Ami, this is not much different from the risk factors for other types of breast cancer. Call it a matter of family genetics.

“If there is a family (brother, sister, or mother) who has breast cancer, this has a 4-fold higher risk,” he added.
