Latest news on Sara Pedri, gynecologist who disappeared in Trento

Not only Sara pedri but also several other colleagues of the gynecologist of Forlì who passed away on March 4, they told of the harassment and humiliations suffered at work in the gynecology department of the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento. Interviewed by “Who has seen?” they told of the moments of despair that also led them to hope for an accident in order not to go to work: “Every time I went to work I prayed to God to have an accident, remain paralyzed and don’t go there anymore – says a colleague of Sara – then it ends up that if you get sick, because they make you sick, they start disciplinary proceedings because you allowed yourself to get sick “.

Surgical instruments flew into the operating room – tells another colleague – they make you feel like nothing, they make you question what you have been doing for decades, they look for the error to put you in crisis. You can breathe the fear of speaking. “The same atmosphere that the gynecologist from Forlì told her friends and family for months before collapsing, physically and psychologically. Underweight and fatigued from the constant episodes of mobbing, Sara decided to go home last February: “It is at that moment, on February 19, when we saw her after convincing her to come home, that we realized how she really was – told the mother who was a guest in the study of “Who saw it?” – he had lost weight, he was biting his nails, hugging his stomach, he was sitting in a corner in his room “.

This morning the news of the registration in the register of suspects of Saverio Tateo, the former head physician of the obstetrics and gynecology operating unit of the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento, where the girl worked, and the deputy Liliana Mereu: both are under investigation by the Trento prosecutor’s office for mistreatment and abuse of the means of correction and discipline. This is an investigation file opened after the disappearance of Sara Pedri. And to the chief prosecutor of Trento, Sandro Raimondi, in the first days of August the NAS had sent an information requesting that the couple of executives be entered in the register of suspects for ill-treatment. And it is precisely of mistreatment that Sara’s family lawyer speaks, Nicodemus Gentile, when she tells of the episode that took place on January 20 when she was hit on the hand before being removed from the operating room. Abuse of the means of correction or discipline is another of the accusations, since Sarah was one day forced to be alone in a room for hours.

Case Sara Pedri, former primary Tateo can be fired for just cause: the decision of the guarantors

“There have been rather dark moments. When I arrive that I have a 12-hour guard, I don’t get up from my chair except to visit – Sara tells her friend Giovanna before disappearing – I don’t pee, I don’t eat”. The outpourings of the gynecologist, now tired of that climate and of that job that she had so longed for, are continuous outbursts. In a letter never sent and addressed to the primary Tateo, Sara asks to be transferred to Cles, where she was initially hired and where she could not go because of Covid: she talks about those humiliations that for a woman at the first experience of work can be traumatizing: “The numerous humiliations, without any help, have provoked in me a fear never had before in facing the work”.
