Magnum Gallery in Paris presents Bruce Davidson & Khalik Allah : New York from October 21 to December 18, 2021. The exhibition inaugurates the new Parisian gallery located in the 11th arrondissement and brings together for the first time the work of two Magnum photographers who, generations apart, have explored the energy of New York City through their lenses.
Bruce Davidson and Khalik Allah offer two visions of urban life, aerial and underground, captured at different times, through two distinct but parallel points of view. The exhibition, which mainly features vintage Davidson prints, explores themes of humanity, street life and perception, while highlighting the effects of transmission.
