Jakarta’s Gerindra Party and NasDem call the declaration of support Anies Baswedan becoming a presidential candidate (Capres) 2024 is too early. Preferably, the declaration should be made after Anies’ term as Governor of DKI Jakarta ends in October 2022.
Secretary of DKI Jakarta NasDem DPW Wibi Andrino said the declaration of support for Anies was not timely.
“Declaration of support is better after his term of office is over,” said Secretary of DKI Jakarta NasDem DPW Wibi Andrino when contacted, Wednesday (20/10/2021).
“To Pak Anies’ volunteers, I invite you to focus on helping him for Jakarta. There is still homework,” he said.

According to Wibi, the declaration made by one of the groups will not interfere with Anies’ performance as governor. According to him, Anies is currently focusing on managing DKI until the end of his term of office.
“The declaration will not hinder the work of the governor. He is currently focusing on completing his term of service,” he said.
The same thing was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Gerindra DPD, Syarif. Syarif said the declaration was too early by volunteers.
“It’s too early. That’s all. It’s really hot,” said Syarif.

According to Syarif, the declaration could interfere with Anies Baswedan’s work as governor. This condition occurs if Anies is finally tempted to participate in preparing to become the current presidential candidate.
“It’s disturbing if Mr. Anies is tempted by this discourse and movement. It will affect performance,” said Syarif.
However, at this time, Syarif saw that Anies was still not tempted about the presidential election. He was also grateful for the condition of Anies who ignored the discourse of becoming a presidential candidate.
“As far as I know, no. We often see him, so far he has not been tempted. When asked to press, he is silent. Thank God, he is not tempted, if he is tempted he starts counting,” he said.
