Several Australian media outlets have called him “Australia’s worst pedophile”.
The 39-year-old man is known to be HIV-positive. He has previously appeared in court, where it was stated that he had talked to “like-minded people” about wanting to infect children with the HIV virus.
– This is not a detached bragging between people on the internet, there is evidence that this has actually happened, the prosecution claims according to Australian ABC News.
The man was arrested last year, and has been in custody since then, charged with a number of crimes against children.
«Worst and most degrading»
According to ABC News, the 39-year-old confessed to 39 offenses earlier this year.
This autumn, the 39-year-old was charged with a further 142 offenses, which include two cases of persistent sexual exploitation of a child and that in two cases he is said to have maintained an illegal sexual relationship with one.

He must also on 98 occasions have communicated with children to make them more receptive to sex, as well as have been in possession of, and disseminated, material showing children who are being sexually exploited.
An investigator has previously stated that the 39-year-old’s offenses were “the worst and most degrading he has seen during his 14 years as an investigator”.

Among the 39-year-old victims are a 15-year-old boy from New South Wales, another boy from the state capital Adelaide who later died, and the third identified victim was a 16-year-old from Italy, according to ABC News.

According to the prosecutor, the 39-year-old man is said to have filmed sexual activities with the boy from New South Wales, who has subsequently been tested for HIV.
