According to him, relations between Russia and NATO are now the worst since the Cold War. “And this situation has developed because of Russia’s behavior,” he said.

“Russia seized the territories of its neighbors, interfered in democratic processes, behaved aggressively towards NATO members. However, at some stage, Russia will have to understand that the world will become more secure if we establish a meaningful dialogue,” Stoltenberg added.

He pledged that NATO will continue to strengthen Russia’s containment and defense capabilities.
“We will ensure the availability of forces and means to protect our countries. We will also examine what we have achieved to respond to the challenge from Russian nuclear missiles,” the Alliance Secretary General added.
As a reminder, on October 6 it became known that NATO will send eight staff members of the Russian mission for hostile activities, and the posts of two more were cut.
In response, Russia terminated its mission in NATOand also closed the NATO information office in Moscow.
