After an evaluation of the State’s income, an additional credit was authorized to the board of the Hospital del Niño for B / .2.7 million, informed Alejandro Vernaza, deputy director of the Nation’s Budget, of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Panama (MEF) .
The additional credit, which was authorized through Cabinet Resolution 114, will be used for supplies, medical and laboratory equipment, reagents and other items that the hospital needs until December, Vernaza explained.
The amount approved for the hospital is part of an additional credit of B /. 169 million that the Cabinet Council approved on October 13 for fiscal 2021, with the aim of covering the needs reported by different entities, Among which are the actions to mitigate the covid-19 pandemic and those aimed at addressing situations derived from the environmental emergency due to natural disasters and other needs of different institutions.
