Often playing in the ground outside the house, making children very susceptible to worms.
According to Dr. Roro Rukmi Windi Perdani, Sp.A from Hermina Hospital Lampung, intestinal worms can cause diarrhea in children.
Then, it can also interfere with the absorption of food, easily tired, not excited, weak, sleepy, malnourished and if the diarrhea comes out blood will experience anemia.
Worms, he said, are infections that occur in the intestines due to worms. Both worms in the form of larvae and eggs.
Worms can enter the intestine through the skin, when the child is playing on the ground barefoot, or hands touching the ground.
Dr. Roro Rukmini says, Worm there are four types. Each type of worm causes intestinal worms with a different name.
Among them are roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides) which cause ascarariasis.
Then hookworm (Ancylostoma duodenale) which causes ancylostomiasis, and roundworm (Trichuris trichiura) which causes trichuriasis.
Then there are pinworms (Enterobius vermicularis) which cause enterobiasis. But this worm is different from the three previous worms.
