The fourth evacuation flight from Syria arrived in Kiev. A family returned to their homeland, which had been in the closed-type camp “Rog” for more than two years.
This is reported on website President of Ukraine. Crimean woman Iman and her four children were evacuated (to see the photo, scroll to the bottom of the page).
According to the deputy head of the President’s Office Roman Mashovets, it was planned to “pull out” all Ukrainian citizens who remained in the Al-Hall and Rog camps, but the Al-Hall camp in northern Syria was quarantined due to COVID-19 …
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar added to Facebookthat the final fifth evacuation operation is planned, after which all Ukrainian citizens will be evacuated from the region of northeastern Syria (Syrian Kurdistan).
Now 11 Ukrainian families remain there. All of them have already been taken out of the Al-Hall camp and prepared for evacuation, but are in quarantine.
Recall that the previous operation to return Ukrainians took place in the summer: on June 15, a Ukrainian citizen with seven children was taken out of Syria.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, 36-year-old Ukrainian woman Inna Dobrovolskaya ended up in a refugee camp in Syria back in 2018. A young woman buried her little daughter and husband in a foreign country.
Dobrovolskaya is not a typical resident of a refugee camp in Syria: a woman with two higher educations, knows five languages. But to survive with her newborn son, she had to eat grass and drink water from the river.
