Senamhi and Minsa will present virtual showcase on climate and health issues

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (Senamhi) and the Ministry of Health (Minsa) will develop a webinar for the presentation of the web platform “Showcase of knowledge in climate and health”, developed within the framework of the Project to Support the Climate Change Management, Phase 2.

– During the webinar to be held on Thursday, October 21 at 3:00 p.m., the process of articulation and exchange of knowledge carried out between Senamhi and Minsa for the development of this portal for the dissemination of climate and health information will be detailed, which aims to facilitate access to climate information in health, in support of consultation, research and informed decision-making.

– The event will have the participation of the director of the General Directorate of Disaster Risk Management and National Defense in Health (DIGERD) of the Minsa, Dr. Jorge Luis Escobar Chuquiray; the person in charge of the Virtual Health Library of the General Office of Information Technologies of the Minsa, Lic. Alicia Ríos; the director of Meteorology and Atmospheric Environmental Assessment of Senamhi, Ing. Gabriela Rosas, and representatives of the working groups on climate and health that co-designed and implemented the knowledge showcase on climate and health.
