Jurgen and Elise live together in an upstairs apartment in a busy area of Rotterdam. Jurgen bought the house about four years ago and has been living there with Elise for a year. The two are actually very satisfied with the house, only less so with the neighborhood in which it is located. With a view to the future, the two are looking for a home in a cosy, child-friendly neighborhood, preferably near Rotterdam.

What makes the search of the two somewhat difficult is that they are both not that handy and so are looking for a house that is already ready to move in. They also prefer a single-family home with a south-facing garden, with at least three bedrooms. The couple has a budget of 470,000 euros. Where participants are normally sternly addressed by Bob that they have to shorten their wish list, Jurgen and Elise are advised to be a little more specific. Alex and Bob must know in which direction to look. The couple eventually decides that they would prefer a spacious, modern home in Rotterdam, Krimpen aan den IJssel or Capelle aan den IJssel. A wish that Alex can handle.

The real estate agent soon comes across a beautiful house that meets all the wishes of the couple. Located in Krimpen aan den IJssel, it is spacious and modern and requires little renovation. When Martijn Krabbé visits the couple to share the good news with them, it turns out that Jurgen has fallen on his knees for Elise. Love explodes from the screen and the two continue to shower each other with kisses for the rest of the episode.

When the two see their new home, they are thrilled. “I think it’s all so beautiful that I have almost no words for it”, Jurgen stammers. Elise is also completely delighted and says she is ‘intensely happy’. Because of the enthusiastic reactions of the two you would almost forget that the house is not finished yet and that Bob and Roos are going to change it quite a bit. There will be a new bathroom, a beautiful kitchen island, a new facade and a new floor. When Jurgen and Elise come to admire the end result, they can’t believe their luck. “I feel like John de Bever, I can’t get the smile off my face,” said Elise.
Bob and Roos had it easy this time, but that’s certainly not always the case.
