Broken heart for the dancer and professor of Amici di Maria De Filippi, Raimondo Todaro. Through his social profiles, the dancer has given a very sad news: his little friend Chiara did not make it, surrendering to leukemia. The girl had been met by Todaro a few months ago, in Monza. On that occasion, in a hospital room, Raimondo had given a scrap of happiness to the young woman, making her dance.
“Hi Chiara, when I accepted the project of the Verga Committee I did it with my heart but I had a fear, a great fear, that of not seeing some of you again. Know that that day was much more special to me than to you. I will always carry you in my heart.
R.I.P”. So Todaro on his Instagram profile, accompanying a photograph in which he can be seen dancing with the young woman who died in the past few hours.
Raimondo Todaro engaged with the young patients of the Maria Letizia Verga Center
Music and dance, thanks also to Amici’s professor and former teacher of Dancing with the Stars, a few months ago, they had entered the rooms of the young patients of the Maria Letizia Verga Center in Monza, a reference point in Italy for research, care and assistance of children with leukemia and lymphomas.
In May, the famous dancer arrived at the Verga Center who had met the little ones who had been remotely following his dance lessons for months. It was an afternoon of movement, smiles and fun. On that occasion Raimondo went to the rooms of the Transplant Center where not even the infusion column prevented the young Chiara, the girl who died in the hours, from moving to the rhythm, sketching bachata steps.
Todaro he then gave a group lesson on the terrace of the hospital, which had already been used for the motor activity of the little patients for a couple of years. “They tell me that for the children of the Maria Letizia Verga Center, participating in the dance project was exciting – Todaro declared at the end of the day -. But the one who received the most emotions and energy was me. I am happy to be able to continue to give and receive emotions in this new beautiful adventure “.
From the Center they made it known that they were more than satisfied with the event starring the TV star, underlining that children and young people between 4 and 17 years old were given a unique moment of lightheartedness and entertainment, driven by the unifying power of dance and music.
On that occasion, Dr. Adriana Balduzzi stressed the importance of entertainment activities for young patients, tried not only by their serious health problems, but also by anti-Covid limitations, which caused almost all playful exercises to be interrupted.
