Jaren Jackson Jr. and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed on a four-year contract extension. This is what Adrian Wojnarowski reports from ESPNwho received the information from Jackson Agent Austin Brown.
Jackson Jr. will receive $ 105 million over four years. The Big Man came to the Grizzlies as the 4th pick from Michigan State in 2018, where he put on 13.8 points and 1.4 blocks per game in his rookie season.
After 57 games in his sophomore season, Jackson Jr. suffered a meniscus injury from which he did not return until the end of last season.
The deal was signed on the day of the deadline for rookie extensions for the 2018 draft class, putting Jackson in good company with Luka Doncic, Trae Young and most recently Mikal Bridges, among others.
The most significant remaining candidate for such a contract extension is DeAndre Ayton, whose performance improvement was decisive for the entry of the Phoenix Suns into the NBA Finals.
