The Chinese Army has accused the authorities of the United States and Canada of “disturbing” the peace in the region with the passage of warships through the Straits of Taiwan.

“It is necessary that the United States stop supporting the separatist forces that demonstrate in favor of the independence of Taiwan and take concrete steps to safeguard peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait,” said the Chinese Foreign Minister, Jua Chunying.
