Thursday, October 14, more than fifty nurses, orderlies, doctors, members of technical staff demonstrated while a conference was held, a big blah-blah on “adolescent addiction”. They protest against the elimination of ten beds in the crisis center and the probable closure of the admission service. 34 beds out of 200 are in the hot seat. Not to mention the lack of doctors – there is a shortage of 15 psychiatrists.
All this while with the Covid and confinement, new patient profiles have appeared. Even the director says that “the staff is too low” and that “we are at a breaking point”.
What is crazy is to leave the reins of public health to those who, for budgetary reasons, eliminate beds, services, and impose the shortage of doctors! Down!
