This Saturday, October 16, at the end of the afternoon, the prize list was revealed: it is the film “Out of frame” which won the Prix de la Toison d’Or at the Ecrans de l’Aventure. Jordan Manoukian’s film recounting the daily life of a high mountain guide won over the jury, chaired by Elisabeth Revol.
The Ecrans de l’Aventure winners were revealed at the Olympia cinema on Saturday, October 16. Among the 14 films in competition, here is the complete list:
The Golden Fleece from adventure film is attributed to the film: “Out of Frame”, by Jordan Manoukian.
This documentary shows the daily life of Mathis Dumas, athlete, mountain guide and outdoor photographer. Suspended in the void, a camera in hand, Mathis takes us behind the scenes of a dizzying high line shoot on a line never produced. A trip to the heart of the Mont Blanc massif in the company of passionate athletes, which reveals a photographic vision and a mountain heritage outside of traditional settings.

The Golden Fleece for Adventurer of the Year, awarded by La Guilde (50 experience in the adventure sector) is awarded to Corentin de Chatelperron.
The Special Jury Prize is attributed to the film: “Lost at Sea”, director: Johnny Burke.
An epic tale of the sea, told through a young man’s personal journey to understand his father, Peter Bird, who in 1983 was the first person to row solo across the Pacific Ocean, but who then disappeared at sea.
Louis, Peter’s son, was only 4 years old when his father died. Almost twenty-five years later, he seeks to find out who his father really was and why he spent so many years of his life alone at sea.

The Jean-Marc Boivin Prize, which rewards the authenticity of an adventure is attributed to the film: “Swissway to heaven”, director: Guillaume Broust.

The Golden Fleece of the Adventure Book is awarded by the jury of the adventure book chaired by Jean-Luc Coatelem, to the book “By the force of the trees “ by Edouard Cortès, Editions Equateurs, 2020.
The public prize of the Dijon library is attributed to the book: “The White Continent, 51 days alone in Antarctica” by Matthieu Tordeur. Editions Robert Laffont, 2020.
A special mention has been attributed to the book “The path of the summer pastures” by Charles Wright – Editions Flammarion, 2021, for his spiritual development and the quality of his writing.
