This is the bill “That modifies and expands Law 3331/07, which creates the National Program for the prevention, early detection and treatment of cervical and breast cancer”, and the “Of coverage of reconstructive surgery, as a consequence of a mastectomy due to oncological breast disease ”.
The public hearing is framed in the activities for the “International Day to Fight Breast Cancer”, which is celebrated every October 19.
It is worth explaining that the first project is related to the possibility of extending to the private sector health centers, the gratuitousness for carrying out early detection studies of breast cancer, and of the cervix.
The second document seeks to allow low-income patients who have defeated breast cancer to undergo reconstructive surgery at no cost, after evaluation to determine the type of comprehensive rehabilitation required, according to the guidelines established by the competent authority in this matter.
