PRIANGAN ZONE – According to scientist NASA, Mars very similar to Earth. In a video interview, astrobiologist Dr. Becky McCauley Rench says that the Red Planet was not always as dry as we see it today.
“Mars, as Earth, has seasons, polar ice caps, volcanoes, canyons, and weather,” says Dr. Becky McCauley Rench on the website. NASA, quoted by ZonaPriangan.com from NDTV, Friday 15 October 2021.
Signs of ancient flooding have also been detected in Mars. In addition, there is evidence of molten saltwater as well, especially on some hillsides Mars, making our celestial neighbors similar to our own home planet.
On September 14th, NASA shared an interview with Rench on Instagram. The question is straightforward and simple: Is Mars ever look like Earth? “Yes, we think so. Mars ancient times may have been wetter and warmer, similar to our home planet,” replied Rench.
Rench further explained that every time the solar system formed 4 billion years ago, Mars and Earth made “of the same material” so they look very similar. “Today, every time we see Mars, we’re looking at a very dry planet compared to Earth which is, you know, our Blue Marble,” he added.
Highlight what makes him believe that Mars once looked like earth, Rench says we see evidence of past streams and maybe Mars also has a shallow north sea.
“However, they diverged and we have two different planets today,” he added.
