Had to quarantine after the holiday – got fired from the bus job

When the bus driver returned from holiday, he was told to quarantine. As a result, he was fired. Now Unibuss has lost in the district court.

Unibuss believed that they had the law on their side when the driver was fired, but the majority in Oslo District Court has come to a different conclusion. Unibuss runs various routes for Routes in the Oslo area and is municipally owned.

After a trip to his home country, the bus driver landed at Gardermoen on 12 January this year. There he was told to go to the corona quarantine for ten days.

Before the driver left, he had been granted a holiday until 14 January. Due to the quarantine, it was not possible for him to go to work as agreed.
