Logroño will celebrate San Mateo from September 18 to 24, but the events with the largest crowd, such as the rocket, the fireworks and the parade of floats, are excluded from the festival line-up. The festivities of San Mateo will be celebrated “whenever the evolution of the pandemic allows it,” said the councilor for Celebrations, Kilian Cruz, after sharing the decision taken by the government team with the groups participating in the festivities and municipal groups. .

“They will be different parties, but they will be held. There will be concerts with reduced and limited capacity, the Breton Theater will host shows and there will also be activities for the little ones,” he added.

Program

During the next few days, work will be done on the protocols and activities where capacity and security measures will be controlled, in the case of tastings, concerts or the barracks. In this case, with the experience of the month that the fair has remained in Logroño. In addition, the programming of the bullfighting fair and ball games in the Adarraga fronton is also planned.

The program of parties will be presented in the coming weeks, with the news that this year there will be no printed edition nor will it be mailed. Some festivities that follow in the wake of the decision taken in other cities, such as Zaragoza, Valladolid, Oviedo, Burgos or Valencia, where Las Fallas will be held in September.

The holidays are maintained and there are no changes in the school calendar with a festive week from September 20 to 24 in Logroño.
