In Ukraine, the head of the Pentagon is expected to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defense Minister Andrei Taran. During the meeting, Austin will reaffirm its continued support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“The visit will also serve as an opportunity to discuss Ukraine’s progress in implementing defense and defense industry reforms necessary to advance its Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as regional cooperation between Black Sea allies and partners,” the statement said.
