The Civil Guard and the Local Police of Santo Domingo de La Calzada identify a 34-year-old French pilgrim who was on the Camino de Santiago with various animals lacking documentation. In total they were 11 animals: 7 goats, 3 donkeys and a dog that they lacked the circulation sanitary guides, microchips, ear tags or ruminal bolus.
The Seprona agents notified the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Government of La Rioja, and transferred the animals to a closed and isolated enclosure owned by a private individual.
Subsequently, veterinarians from the council recognized the animals and agreed to transfer the animals to the Plaza de Toros de Santo Domingo de la Calzada. In order to continue the journey with the animals, the pilgrim has been given a period of 48 hours to deliver all the necessary documentation.
