The news pays tribute to one of the more affordable coupes sold by the Italian carmaker in the 1960s and 1970s.

Although Alfa Romeo’s current offer is not very rich, the Italians are filling in the waiting for the expansion with the third model, which will probably be sold by Tonale next year, at least by introducing various special editions. In the past, we saw the GTA / GTAm or 6C Villa d’Este, for example, and now the limit with the GT Junior designation is coming.
The inspiration for the new limited edition was the Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior, one of the brand’s more affordable coupes, which received a Bertone body, 89 horses under the hood and appeared on the market between 1965 and 1977. And what does a stylish retro-sports coupe have in common? with a modern sedan and SUV?

The most striking is, of course, the ocher color, in a modern sense more reminiscent of gold, which is a legacy of the time and also appeared on the unique Giulia Quadrifoglio model, presented years ago at the Milli Miglia. In addition, Stelvio received quilted GT Junior logos on the headrests, and an interesting detail is the silhouette of the sports car on the dashboard.
The basis for the new limited edition were the models in the sports version of the Veloce, under the hood of which a 2.0-liter petrol four-cylinder with an output of 280 hp and a 2.2-liter diesel with an output of 210 hp can be placed. The power transmission is then taken care of by an eight-stage automat.

In addition, the Italian carmaker reminds that the power is transmitted through a carbon gimbal and there is no lack of Q4 all-wheel drive. However, the Giulia petrol can only be equipped with rear-wheel drive. Stelvio is standard on 21 “wheels, while Giulia on 19” alloy wheels.
In addition to the new color and a few interesting details, the new version also includes a wide range of standard equipment, including, in addition to large cast wheels, electrically opened fifth doors, front parking sensors, LED fog lights, aluminum pedals, steering wheel paddles and much more.
