New Delhi: The popular social media app Snapchat went down globally on Wednesday night and several users were unable to post story updates or send messages.
Snap, which is Snapchat’s parent company, tweeted: “We are aware that some Snapchat users are having trouble using the app at this time. Wait, we’re looking into it! “
Down Detector, which is an app outage tracking website, reported the issues with Snapchat.
While 41 percent have problems with the application, 27 percent of those affected had problems sharing photos and videos.
Snapchat users also took to Twitter to report their issues.
“Everyone runs to Twitter to see if it’s not just their Snapchat bug,” one user posted.
“Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook seeing Snapchat go down,” tweeted another.
The Snapchat problem had yet to be fixed.
Earlier this month, a massive outage put Facebook’s entire family of apps idle for several hours, cascading through millions of users.
