Anthony Ginting Reveals The Key To Reviving in the Thomas Cup

Aarhus

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting finally donated points for the first time in Thomas Cup 2020. He revealed the key to rise from failure.

Playing as the first single against Taiwan in the final match of Group A, Anthony appeared confident from the first game. He managed to overthrow Chou Tien Chen in two straight games 22-20, 21-16 at Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Wednesday (13/10/2021).

Anthony is happy to finally get back to his best and contribute points for his team. In the previous match against Thailand, Anthony lost to Kantaphon Wangcharoen in a rubber game 21-16, 22-24, 23-25.

“Yes, I thank God that I finally won the match unscathed. I think I played better than my last match against Thailand,” Ginting said as quoted on Youtube BWF.

Ginting said that since entering the field, he feels confident with the preparations that have been made. Even though he realized it, the first play was enough to make him tense.

“I think all players feel the same (stress) but I don’t want to think too much about it. I’m more focused on the preparations that will be faced on the field,” he said.

“And I feel confident on the field. I think the key is in the right strategy and this is what made the difference when I appeared in yesterday’s match (against Thailand),” he added.

“Before this match, the team manager also reminded us not to think about the results. But try to play as well as possible and enjoy. That’s also what I emphasize to myself to stay focused and enjoy the game,” said Ginting.

Until this news was revealed, the second match featured the men’s doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto against Lee Yang/Wang Chi Lin, the gold medalists at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
