Various Styles and Examples in Everyday Life

A force is a pulling or pushing motion that causes movement of an object. In addition to making objects move, forces can also change the direction, speed, and even change the shape of objects.

Style have an effect on objects, namely:

  1. Style causes an object at rest to move. For example, a stationary chair can move after being pushed.
  2. Force causes an object in motion to be at rest. For example, a rolling ball can rest after being held with the feet.
  3. Style causing a change in the direction of the object. For example, a basketball that is bounced against a wall will bounce in a different direction after hitting the wall.
  4. Force can make objects move faster. For example, a slow-moving car may go faster after the driver adds gas.
  5. Forces cause objects to change shape. For example, a plastic bottle will change shape after being stepped on.

Assorted Style

In the following, we will discuss about the various styles along with examples in everyday life.

1. Muscle style

Every movement we do mostly uses muscle force. Yes, as the name implies, muscle force is the force exerted by the muscles of our body.

Muscular force is often used when we pull, push, and lift things. Even when we exercise, we use muscle force. An example of a muscular force is when we push a table, lift a book, pull a door, and so on.

2. Spring style

The spring force is generated from the stretched rubber or spring. An example of a spring force can be seen in the movement of a released arrow.

When shooting, the rubber that is pulled will produce a spring force and make the arrow eject.

The force that an electrically charged object has to attract objects around it is called the static electric force. To prove this style, you can do the activity of rubbing a plastic ruler into your hair for a while and bringing the ruler closer to small pieces of paper.

From the experiment, you can see small pieces of paper sticking to the plastic ruler. That way, it can be concluded that the ruler has a static electric force after being rubbed into the hair.

Magnetic force is a force produced by a magnet. Objects that contain a magnetic force can only attract objects made of iron or steel. While objects made of plastic or paper will not stick to the magnet.

5. Gravity

Gravity is the force of the earth pulling objects downwards. This force is what causes all objects on earth will always fall down.

To prove the force of gravity, you can try throwing a pencil up and you will see the pencil fall down. Another example of the force of gravity is a fruit that falls from a tree when it is ripe.

6. Friction

Friction is the result of friction between two objects. An example of friction in everyday life is when we walk. The friction between the soles of the feet and the floor allows us to walk safely without falling.
