This time, the heading “That makes school” is about the school art exhibition “Nature and Time”, efforts for professional orientation and a competition for digitization.
SCHOOL ART
Works from many disciplines
Youth can do art. The school art exhibition “Nature and Time”, which has been on view since the beginning of October in the youth art school in the Freiburg youth education center, Uhlandstrasse 2, shows how good it is. Anyone who thinks that the exhibition only includes student works hanging on the wall is mistaken. There you can also marvel at large-scale installations that turn one (or two or three) piece (s) of nature into exciting art objects. All works come from pupils of all types of schools from the city of Freiburg as well as the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen. The exhibition was organized by the school art team from the regional office of the Center for School Quality and Teacher Training. It was coordinated by Stefanie Bornhofen, supported by the youth art school in the Freiburg youth education center. The school art program of the state of Baden-Württemberg has been a funding measure for artistic and aesthetic education in schools since 1985. The exhibition can be visited until Wednesday, October 27th after registration. It is open Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (3G rules and mask requirement). Please register three working days in advance by email [email protected]
MAX WEBER SCHOOL
Award for the digital heroes
Digital media belong in the classroom. But how can these be profitably integrated into the classroom? Good question. The education initiative “[email protected]”, a competition of the Mossakowski Foundation in Ravensburg and the technology service provider CHG-Meridian in Weingarten, have looked for – and found – answers Third place. The idea: The learning environment for the learning portfolios was digitally mapped on the Moodle learning management system, which opens up new possibilities for self-organized learning. An example: The digital space enables feedback functions such as audio feedback or peer feedback using like and comment functions 2000 euros, which Jürgen Mossakowski handed over to teacher Mona Frommer last week, who developed the digital learning portfolios.
MOOSWALDSCHULE
Excellent career guidance
The Mooswald School in the district of the same name has recently been allowed to call itself the Seal Ambassador School. What that means? The school put a lot of effort into the field of career orientation and supported its students with many programs. The Mooswald School has been holding the Boris Baden-Württemberg career choice seal for a long time. Now it has been selected from 500 schools that have such a seal to become the ambassadorial school. The seal is a certification procedure for schools that go beyond the required standards in the curriculum in the field of career and study orientation.
