Today, Joanna K. Rowling’s latest children’s book, The Christmas Pig, reaches little readers around the world. It is a heartfelt and exciting adventure story about a little boy and his favorite toy, and the author herself has also found that she is inspired by her family experience.
“There was a pretty clear starting point for this story – my son David, when he was little, his favorite toy was a pig. This dilapidated, small toy he still has, but at that time it was regularly lost. He hid it in various places So I bought another of the same thing and hid it on a shelf. David discovered it and was very confused when he saw another pig. He thought it would be his piglet’s brother. “I was thinking about this second piglet, and so did the idea of the story. All the events in the book are fictional, but the idea of two pigs comes from life,” writer Joanna K. Rowling reveals the idea for this book.
