HTC has invited to a launch event in the vr app Engage Thursday 14 October at 17:00 (Swedish time). During the event, HTC is expected to show off a new vr headset and its own metaverse product, reports Protocol.
According to the site, the new vr headset will have the name Vive Flow and be a standalone vr headset intended for media consumption. The headset should not come with any controls and is described by Protocol as less powerful than Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2.
The Metaverse product will in turn be called Viveport Verse and offer real-time interaction across both vr and non-vr products. In the meta-verse, you should be able to create your own 3D avatars and have a showroom for NFT’s and user-created content.
HTC has declined to comment on the information.
