The Mercedes AMG GT Coupe was first shown in 2014 and debuted at the Paris Motor Show later that year. For the 7-year life of the model we have seen a number of different versions, the last of which is the Black Series in the past 2020. This was the ninth model of the brand that received the Black Series designations and, as with the others, will most likely mark the end of its production.
This is indicated by information from our Spanish colleagues from motor.es, whose data reveal that the last produced Mercedes AMG GT Coupe will leave the factories in December this year. The same fate awaits the AMG GT convertible, which will give way to the new SL. According to the publication, Mercedes no longer even accepts orders for the AMG GT, due to filling all the slots for production until the end of this calendar year.
Since the AMG GT Coupe will no longer be sold, the question arises in our heads whether the brand will represent its moral successor. There is still no clear answer to this question, but according to people familiar with the matter, this is unlikely to happen.
