Cultural and activist residency at Florida de Septfonds

The company Stéréotandem, born in 2020, during confinement, took up residence for a week in the hall of the Le Florida theater, in early July, in order to prepare its first show, “Arthur pushed his bed under the moon”. What started out as an adult duo eventually became a threesome with 11-year-old Arthur having the distinction of being a carrier of autism. While the first confinement is rife and the population finds itself in forced residence, Arthur’s mother and her husband improvise musical poetic bubbles to keep him away from crises and channel delicate situations.

From then on, Arthur, who has always been lulled by music, takes a liking to these small soothing games, and what was a kind of therapy turns into a fairyland. Lætitia and Jean-François Delfour, singer-songwriter, notably known for his work with MC Solaar, stage and to music the sensorialities of Arthur (echolalia, flipflop) and moments of his life, and prove that children different can create. Dedicated to Daniela Ramos, AESH (accompanying students with disabilities), and to the Sessad team (specialized education and home care service) L’Envol, de Cahors, Lætitia wants the show to be also militant so that the gaze changes on autism and that the work of AESH, intense and admirable, is recognized at its true value: “These children have the right to be educated like the others, to eat in the canteen; that it is no longer a struggle for parents and for them to be able to live among their peers. “

A second residency is planned for the start of the school year with restitution for the public. A musical and family show, therefore, but also an artistic way to experience a moment with Arthur, because the more we know, the less prejudices we have.
