From Los Angeles to New York: An American dressed as a bear has decided to cross the United States from coast to coast to raise funds for different causes.
Jesse Larios, also known as the “Bears Sun” was spotted this weekend in Collinsville, Illinois, CNN reports.
The man embarked on his 4,000-kilometer journey on July 5 and hopes to reach Times Square within a month.
To do this, Jesse Larrios will have to travel at least 48 kilometers every day. At present, he walks an average of 45 kilometers per day.
The man’s journey has not been easy. So far, he has had to contend with the scorching heat of the Mojave Desert in California and the monsoon rain in Arizona.
The goal of “Bear Sun” is to raise funds for five different causes, including mental health and breast cancer research. However, the ultimate goal is simply to make people smile.
