The era of DDR4 memory is slowly coming to an end and new type modules will soon emerge DDR5. They are already being prepared by several manufacturers, including the company Needle. She showed the capabilities of her modules XPG DDR5-4800, which can also run at much higher frequencies. They can have XMP profiles not only for DDR5-5200 (CL38 1.25V), but even DDR6-6800 (CL45 1.35V). But it doesn’t end there.

She took two different kits into the test (one with the XMP-5200, the other with the XMP-6800), with which she was able to reach frequencies at the level of DDR5-8104 (CL52-52-52-96-148-2T) and even DDR5-8118 (CL50-50-50-160-210-2T). The timing values are therefore very high, but we will have to get used to it, similarly to any new generation of memories at their higher frequencies.
