They believe when it happens solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse, then there will be a great character who will die or there will be a baby born where that baby is special and will be their character or leader.
There are also some people who associate the eclipse with the impending disaster and calamity. So they prepare offerings for the spirit to avoid danger.
In Indonesia there is also a superstition about the occurrence of an eclipse. In the past there was a belief that eclipses occurred because the moon or sun was eaten by evil beings.
There are also those who associate the eclipse with the coming of disaster and misfortune so that they are convinced that when the eclipse occurs they should not leave the house. Because people who leave home when an eclipse occurs will get misfortune in their lives. In fact, it will happen to those around him.
But Islam came and gave all the refutation of it. The Messenger of Allah enlightened people that a lunar eclipse or a solar eclipse has nothing to do with death or someone’s life or even a harbinger of doom.
An eclipse is a sign power of God S.W.T. Allah has the power to make changes in the solar system so that humans think that there is no one who can do it all except Allah the Almighty.
