The musician categorically denies the assumption that he is guilty of the “death” of the legendary Liverpool quartet
Touching again on the disintegration of “The Beatles”, musician Paul McCartney categorically refutes the assumption that he is to blame for the “death” of the legendary Liverpool quartet. Speaking as a guest on an episode of BBC’s “This Cultural Life” show, due to air on October 23, the musician said John Lennon was the one who wanted to disband the band.
“I did not cause the separation. It was our Johnny“says Paul.
Fans of the group have long debated who is to blame for the collapse of the legendary “The Beatles”, with many blaming McCartney. However, he claims that John Lennon’s desire to “liberate” is the main driver behind the separation.
Paul also said that the confusion about the separation was allowed because their manager asked the members of the group to remain silent until he concluded a number of business deals.

The interview precedes Peter Jackson’s six-hour documentary describing the band’s last months. The Beatles: Get Back tape, which will be released on Disney + in November, will certainly reconsider the breakup of the legendary Liverpool quartet. Paul McCartney’s comments were first reported by The Observer.
Asked by interviewer John Wilson about his decision to retire on his own, McCartney said: “Stop right here. I am not the person who caused the separation. Oh, no, no, no. One day John came into a room and said, “I’m leaving the Beatles.” Does this provoke separation or not?“

“This was my group, this was my job, this was my life. So I wanted this to continue“, adds Paul.
