The former Minister of Economy, Claudiu Năsui, claims that the proposal of the Minister of Finance, Dan Vîlceanu, which limits the payment of contributions for high salaries. Năsui shows that “the offer is interesting”, but to help all Romanians the best option would be zero taxes on the minimum wage.
“Ceiling contributions for high salaries means reducing taxes for just a few. The offer of the Minister of Finance is interesting, but it would be a wrong approach.
The right solution is one that would apply to the entire population. More precisely, to reduce taxes on the equivalent of a minimum wage. I understand that it is not advanced by the current formula of the government for the simple fact that it was not the idea of PNL. It is not a solid enough reason not to do good to Romania.
A Romanian who works for the minimum wage would benefit from absolutely nothing from a cap on the tax burden for the highest wages. For him, the state would still take almost half of his work. He will continue to be the most taxed European citizen. And because of this, the most expelled citizen on the labor market in his own country. A huge and constant evil that the state does to us.
The correct (and simultaneously liberal) solution is to reduce taxes for all Romanians and not just for some with high salaries.
Romanians are not poor, they are poor. Only after we will no longer have a state that keeps them in poverty through an aberrant taxation of labor can we afford finesse such as tax capping only for the most favored.
This is the only way we can advance as a society and we can open the way for as many Romanians as possible to prosperity – first we have to reduce the tax burden for everyone “, writes Claudiu Năsui.
