The Yahukimo Police with the Nemangkawi Task Force ended the escape of Morume Keya Busup, the mastermind riots that occurred in Yahukimo. Morume turned out to be one of the people on the police wanted list (DPO).
Not only DPO, Morume was also the main perpetrator of the attack on the Yali tribe that led to the riots in Yahukimo. The person concerned was arrested by the police on Saturday (9/10).
“Arrested on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 03.40 WIT, located on Jalan Gunung, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono in a written statement, Saturday (9/10/2021).
Later, Argo said the police also arrested another person named Beto Ordias. According to him, the two suspects were taken to the Yahukimo Police for further investigation.
“The case has been handled by the Yahukimo Police,” he said.
