On the night of October 7, in the Orenburg region, several people aged 36 to 73 were hospitalized with similar symptoms of methanol poisoning. All victims and victims bought alcohol from one manufacturer. A total of 54 people who were poisoned by this surrogate were identified.
A 29-year-old “businessman” from Orsk was detained, who started selling counterfeit products. A 60-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were directly involved in the sale, who were also detained.
More than a thousand bottles with a surrogate were found in a warehouse in Orsk. In addition, there was a spill point in the city. Five criminal cases were initiated into the death of people.
