The slightly cracked voice, all gently cuddly. This is how this young singer appears on the last British collaborative EP of Metronomy. A beautiful, very classy exhibition, of course. Yet it was not in this register, charming but a little too smooth, that we first noticed this Franco-Korean born in Bangkok and who grew up in Los Angeles. The discovery dates back to the beginning of the year. When this child of the ball (a jazzman father alas disappeared, and a pianist mother) draws the incisor Pistolwhip. Under melodic and electronic arcana, very greasy guitars pierce the sound barrier. A happy solar shambles folded in 2 minutes 5 top stop. No frills, but damn effective.
