JAYAPURA – Tim badminton East Java women successfully won a gold medal in PON XX Papua 2021. This certainty was obtained after East Java bulldozed DKI Jakarta in the final with a score of 2-0.
The final match of the XX Papua PON 2021 badminton sport was held on Saturday (9/10/2021). The final match was very fierce.
However, through two women’s singles, East Java succeeded in overcoming DKI Jakarta’s resistance. This was confirmed by Sri Fatmawati and Desima Aqmar Syarafina.
In the first match in the women’s singles sector, East Java fielded Sri Fatmawati to face the women’s singles from DKI Jakarta, namely Ruseli Hartawan. Sri Fatmawati also surprisingly managed to win in two straight games over the PBSI Pelatnas player with a score of 21-15 and 21-16.
Then, in the second match, East Java played Desima Aqmar Syarafina as the second women’s singles against Stephanie Widjaja. The match was fierce because it was running in three sets.
In the first game, Desima Aqmar took the lead over Stephanie Widjaja with a score of 21-18. Meanwhile, in the second game, Desima Aqmar had to lose 17-21.
