How to create a local user account in Windows 11 Home

First of all, you have to make a paragraph: if you use the edition Pro Windows 11 this there’s no need since it is possible to create a local account in that edition. If you are a user of the edition Home, continue reading.

This method will help us not only to avoid using a Microsoft account, but to finish configuring the device without an internet connection in the event that the computer cannot be connected to the internet or it is preferred to avoid installing drivers via Windows Update for compatibility reasons. The steps to follow are those:

  1. Being in the initial configuration (OOBE) of Windows 11, we continue normally until you reach the section on connecting to a network.
  2. When we reach this section, we press the combination of keys on our keyboard SHIFT + F10 to open the Symbol of the system.

IMPORTANT: Some manufacturers like Lenovo have the FN keys configured with custom functions by the manufacturer and therefore this command would not work, since when you press the FN keys they invoke the custom functions and not the key itself. For these computers, while pressing F10, you have to press the FN key. That is, press SHIFT + FN + F10, all at the same time.

  3. Once open, we write taskmgr and press Enter to open the Task Manager.
  4. Being already open, click on More details to see the information of all processes.
  5. In the detailed section of the Task Manager, we should look for a process called Network connection flow, we select it with a click and we give Finish homework.
  6. We close Task Manager and Command Prompt. We will see how the initial configuration skip network settings and we will get the terms and conditions of Windows. We accept them and from here, you can continue setup from your Windows 11 computer with total normality.
