A Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), the Association for Training in Living History has changed its name. Still chaired by Luc Lasnier, it becomes C’Chartres Medieval.
For several years, this association, whose head office is located in Lucé, has participated, with the City, in the organization of the Medieval Festival 1254, in Chartres. The next festivities will be held end of May 2022, if the health context allows it.
“The name C’Chartres Médiévale corresponds better to the identity of the association, which retains its status, according to the law of 1901”, specifies Luc Lasnier.
A new identity for a new start
This Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., La Citadelle, in Lucé, will open its doors to the public. Members of the association will present the activities of C’Chartres Medieval : costumes, crafts, cooking lessons, dance, theater, combat …
An opportunity for C’Chartres Medieval to meet new members, but also to call for volunteers to organize the next Fête 1254.
Change in the statutes
Here is the new team at the head of C’Chartres Médiévale: Luc Lasnier, president; Valérie Faulcon, executive assistant; Alain Fournier, treasurer, Daniel Labaume, administrator and “historical expert”.

DIY, costume or show: everyone can find their place!
“Before, during and after, we always need help,” explains the president of C’Chartres Médiévale. Handymen to take care of sets and games, dressmakers for costumes, stage enthusiasts for theatrical improvisation.
Everyone must come and make themselves known, the Chartrains, or the inhabitants of the agglomeration, we will direct them to the area they want. We will soon be launching our communication campaign about the search for volunteers.
Organized every two years, alternating with the Festival of Light, the medieval festival of Chartres mobilizes dozens of volunteers.
Practice. C’Chartres Médiévale opens its doors on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Health pass required at entry. Address: 52 rue du Maréchal Leclerc, Lucé.
