After the slap received in Angers on Sunday (3-0), OL are urgently looking for recruits. An observation shared by everyone, from observers to supporters including the coach, Peter Bosz, who has not been hiding it publicly in recent days. While reinforcement, at least, is hoped for in all lines, the arrival of a left side seems to be the priority of the Lyon leaders, despite the summer recruitment of the Brazilian Henrique, who arrived free from Vasco de Gama and who does not convince for now the Dutch technician. With the probable departure of Maxwell Cornet for whom the Gones received a superb offer (17 million euros) from Burnley, the left side of the defense becomes a very serious issue two weeks before the end of the transfer window.
Too complicated for Kurzawa, hot Emerson to come?
He was said to be tempted or even contractually agreed with Lyon, but Layvin Kurzawa was not so close to the Capital of the Gauls as rumors were saying. Although third choice in the hierarchy at PSG behind Abdou Diallo and Juan Bernat whose return is scheduled for soon, the French international does not make a departure a fix, to the chagrin of his leaders. If he is not against getting more playing time elsewhere, he feels good in Paris where he enjoys a very comfortable salary since its extension until 2024 (450,000 euros per month).
Having understood that this file was not the easiest to carry out, the Lyon staff would have, according to the team, activated other tracks (Renan Lodi, Alex Telles, Emerson Palmieri). It is the one concerning the last city which would have today the most chances to succeed, the daily specifying that the defender would have made “known his interest in the project”. Also third choice at Chelsea, the double European champion with Chelsea and Italy has much more affordable emoluments for Lyon’s finances than those of the Parisian and his personal situation – he has only one year of contract – made that Chelsea will be open to a sale or to a loan with a compulsory purchase option.
