The Seattle Seahawks liked to play the Thursday Night Football, the Thursday night game that kicks off every NFL day. They had won the last nine games they had played that day. But this great series ended with a loss at home to the Los Angeles Rams (26-17), opening the fifth day of the NFL.

In addition, the Seahawks must have passed in the fourth and final quarter of Russell Wilson, their star quarterback, hit on a finger after a collision with Aaron Donald, the formidable defenseman of the Rams. Wilson suffers from a sprain and the management of the Seattle team does not know if he will be able to count the latter next week. In his 10-year NFL career, he never missed a start to the game.

After a shy first period (7-3 for Seattle), the Rams widened the gap early in the third quarter, on two touchdowns from Darrell Henderson (race) and Tyler Higbee (assist). Seattle then responded with a TD from DK Metcalf (16-14) and stayed in touch with LA. But with two minutes to go, Geno Smith, who replaced Russell Wilson, was intercepted and, on their next possession, the Rams scored a field goal, which definitely secured them the win.

Los Angeles was able to revive, after its loss against the Arizona Cardinals, last Sunday (the first of the season). The California franchise now has four wins in five matches. Day 5 of the NFL continues on Sunday.
