Sad news came from the Mojokerto City Government. Deputy Mayor of Mojokerto Achmad Rizal Zakaria passed away. The man who is familiarly called Cak Rizal suddenly collapsed while attending the East Java Fair in Surabaya.
Head of the Protocol and Communications Section for the Mojokerto City Secretariat, Hatta Amrullah, said that Cak Rizal collapsed while attending the East Java Fair in Grand City, Surabaya. He fell unconscious in the mall toilet.
“At that time he went to the toilet, the toilet floor was not slippery, he suddenly collapsed and was unconscious. When he went to the toilet he was accompanied by protocol and aides,” said Hatta to detikcom, Friday (8/10/2021).
Hatta explained that Cak Rizal was immediately evacuated to Dr Mohamad Soewandhi Hospital, Surabaya using an ambulance on standby at Grand City Mall. However, Deputy Mayor of Mojokerto was declared dead at the hospital.
“A few moments later he was declared dead, around 16.15 WIB. Currently the body is still in Surabaya,” explained Hatta.
According to Hatta, currently Cak Rizal’s body is still in the RSUD Dr. Mohamad Soewandhi. The body will be returned to the funeral home in Pulorejo Village, Prajurit Kulon District, Mojokerto City this evening.
“God willing, this evening he was taken to Mojokerto, directly to the mourning house,” he said.
Hatta admitted that he did not know the cause of Cak Rizal’s death. Likewise, what disease did you suffer from recently? Deputy Mayor of Mojokerto the. According to him, Cak Rizal did not complain of any pain before.
“Sorry, I don’t know what kind of illness he has. Never complained of being sick. Last night he was still joking and in good health during a comparative study in Blitar as well as a pilgrimage to Bung Karno’s grave,” said Hatta.
