On the occasion of the European Week of Sports, the Lustenau karate club hosted a movement festival with games, fun and karate.
The last two years have not been easy for indoor sports. All the better when events like the #BeActiveNight of the Lustenau Karatekas are so well received! Spread over the Saturday evening, almost 50 participants of all ages romped through the hall, tried different karate techniques, visibly enjoyed the joint exercise and the brisk games and fun tournaments. “Sport and exercise bring people together incredibly quickly. People move around and have fun together who didn’t even know each other 2 minutes ago, who might never meet in other areas of society. For me, this is an enormously important contribution of the association’s work in general and events such as the #BeActiveNight in particular, especially in a time when many people were socially isolated for a long time, ”says head coach Emanuel Riedmann.

The fact that all the work in the association is also well received is also shown by the courses for beginners. “Both courses are fully booked and we are trying to offer those on the waiting list another course as soon as possible,” said Angi Hämmerle from the club management about the positive response.
