Hard to forgive oneself
In his first interview in six years, the “Someone Like You” star reveals Vogue that it was she who wanted out of the relationship because she simply wanted to put herself first.
– I felt the emotions and I was not happy. None of us did anything wrong, she tells the magazine.
The duo had only been married for about a year when they went their separate ways.
– None of us hurt each other or anything like that. It was just that I wanted my son to see me love and that I was loved. It’s very important to me. Since then, I have been on the quest to find true happiness, she explains.
Talking for the first time about the transformation
The 33-year-old further reveals that she and her ex-husband have shared care for their son, that they live close to each other and that they often have movie nights together all three.
Despite the fact that the break-up seems to have gone relatively well, Adele still admits that she has had difficulty seeing how the divorce has affected her son.
– I left the marriage to find my own happiness even though it made Angelo very unhappy. If I can find the happiness I’m looking for and he sees that I’m happy, only then may I be able to forgive myself for this, she shares, according to Vogue.
